Why grinding baby food in metal bladed grinder is not recommended?

Does it take away vitamins, does it leave a bad taste or odor or is it an urban myth?

Unless your metal blades are made of lead, this is an urban myth. It’s perfectly safe.

I’ve never heard that. The only veg they don’t recommend putting in a blender is potato, because it’s starchy it can end up being quite sticky. Any other veg is fine.

I never heard this was a problem. I have a Cuisinart Mini-Chop that I’ve used many times to mash and grind food for my daughter. It has a metal blade and there’s never been an issue.

As long as there is no rust, it should be fine. That seems silly to me – we use knives all the time to chop things, right?
