What kind of Air Compressor should I get?

I want to buy an air compressor to power my tools. It needs to power various impact wrenches (1/2 inch drive), air ratchets, impact hammer, grinder, shears. And no, it does not need to power them at the same time (haha, just in case some of you are hinking that). But i need to know how many horsepower and what gallon.

Since those kind of tools are seldom used continuously, a small one should be enough to keep up. 1hp & 5 gallon tank?

A 1 h.p. 5 gallon won’t do it if you want to take off more than 1 lug nut! I’ve got a 6 h.p. 60 gallon compressor that work very well. It’s a Craftsman oil less that I’ve had for years. Since I got lay-ed off, I’m working out of my garage. I’m glad I have this compressor! The only bad thing about it is it’s loud! Wait for Sears to put them on sale. I don’t know how much they are anymore, but it will be worth the wait! Good Luck!
