What I need tools do I need and what do I do to remove rust out of a trunk?

I have a 1968 dodge dart. And the inside truck is rusted out, Not with cancer or really bad. I just need a list of power tools I need. Maybe a grinder with a wire wheel and a sander. Help!

You just named it all!!! Maybe a wire brush for the divots or small spot. Use some Rust-o-lem paint first and then your finale color and your good to go.

The large 3M rust removing disks that attach to any drill are a good way to get clean results with minimal effort. I’d also consider using some spray on rust reformer to prevent future rust from forming.
If you want all of the surfaces you removed the rust from to be flush with the rest of the trunk, you could also use some 3M “plastic metal”. The disk is about $7, the spray on reformer is about $5.50, and the plastic metal is no more than $10.

try a wire brush when the trunk is clean replace the rubber lining goes around the trunk spray with primer paint
