surreal ! god bless all of you there bravo
that would be awesome to build a telescope completely from scratch..
can someone explain me WHAT that thing is? cus it aint a telescope thats for sure
Awesome, guys! Keep up the good work. I am working on building just an 8″ dobsonian, with purchased mirrors.
Fantastic!!! it is always amazing in those times of mass produced hysteria there are always people that actually use their brain to build something unique.
nice work
This is great but it’d be easier to follow if you guys spoke to camera.
It looks like a lot of effort and investment into making just a few lenzes and mirrors wouldnt it be cheaper to buy those items to build with?
It’s only a hobby, nothing more.
Wow you live in south austin, I live near Mccallum highschool, thats such an awesome project, are you actually going into buisness making telescopes?
Ah…Duh…I never considered they would be coating themselves! Thanks.
the vacuum chamber is probably used to coat the mirror blank, by evaporating some material at high temperature.
I’ve been reading a lot about telescope making and mirror grinding lately, but this is the first time I have seen a reference to a vacuum chamber. What is it used for? Great videos, keep them coming!
And how do you think i should make the telescope at home condition? To make those devices it’s imposible for me. What to do to make my own telescope?
This is pretty amazing. I’d love to see the end result of your labors. You have brought amateur telescope making to a new level, that much is certain.
