    You could still use that opposite-spinning gearbox. Just let your engine spin an idler sprocket and put the sprocket to the gearbox on outside the chain. In effect your gearbox’s sprocket will trade places with an idler.

    You should put an IHI RHB31 turbo on that diesel you can get them on ebay motors for $239.99. That diesel is 418cc right? The ihi turbo should be a perfect fit it’s made for engines that are 190cc to 900cc.

    ya im a bit of an out of the box thinker i think lol but ya the gear box is 7:1 and 12:1 so it would go almost twice as fast in reverse as it would in forward so that sucks

    Does that gearbox have the same ratio in reverse as it does in forward? If it does you could still use it right?

    that isn’t a car trans, and from the looks of the minimal gears in it when he had it open, I would say it IS geared the same if not very close.
