This is a nice little grinder. The only complaint I have is that the flexible shaft doesn’t have a shut-off so it also always runs when the grinder is turned on. So, if you’re just using the wheel, you have to make sure you place the flexible shaft in such a manner that the tip is not in contact with anything.
I can understand having a deflector on the side facing you. I don’t understand what is the purpose of the deflector on the back side and not having one on the polisher. If you wanted to replace the polisher with another grinder wheel, there is no deflector on that side to protect you.
The variable speed is very handy for various projects. The grinder is heavy enough to stay stable.
