Product Description
The 4-1/2in. 5.5 amp grinder is ideal for getting into tight spaces where other grinders can not. Its low profile and light weight make it perfect for those lighter duty sanding and grinding projects. Have used Milwaukee tools my whole life and was not disappointed by the Sander/Grinder ether. The unit performs very well. I have already used it to grind off nails in between my floor joists and its lightweight and good balance came in very handy in those tight spaces. The safety guard on toggle switch is a bit cumbersome but you get used to it.

Had the same model grinder for 10 years and finally wore it out. It was a no brainer to replace it with the same model. This unit is a heavy duty grinder, the gear drive never showed a lick of wear. I use this grinder for all kinds of grinding with any style of grinding wheel and flapper discs.I would highly recommed it to both the project user and the professional.

This tool is excellent! I’ve used it for many jobs
where it would have been difficult or impossible to use any other tool. It’s most useful
aspect is that you can get into difficult to reach, small spaces, and with an appropriate
thin cut-off wheel which you can buy, saw through anything. I used it to cut 4″ cast iron
sewer lines in a confined space underground with no problems. And does the job quickly too!
Also, Milwaukee makes and sells several other models similar to this grinder, and they are all
worth getting, particularly if you want a more professional tool. I’m a home hobbyist,
and the 6148 works great for me. I threw away my hacksaw!

I have owned Ryobi, DeWalt, and Milwaukee grinders, and Milwaukee is by far the best. Powerful rugged and can stand up to heavy use. The wrench is not strong enough to remove the wheel if it is very tight.

I spent a lot of time looking into my grinder purchase. I am not wealthy and can only afford to buy it once.
This is the best I could find in it’s class.
