A sawzall (reciprocating saw) with a metal cutting blade will work just fine

hacksaw, reciprocating saw, grinder. Hacksaw’s the cheapest.

Die grinder with cutting wheel or a compound saw with a cutting disc (available at any hardware store) will work. If you’re just doing a few a hacksaw will work but it gets tiring after the first one or two. A sawsall (reciprocating saw) is fine if you have experience with them and a good clamp, otherwise it jerks the spindle around too much to get a clean cut.
