Have any tips concerning what to look for when buying your first espresso machine and espresso grinder?
I’m looking for an espresso machine that will produce high quality espresso for lattes, and that has a built in steamer. I’m hoping to stay under $700 total for the machine and the grinder.
What are your tips? What should I look for in various models?
Increasing my budget wouldn’t be too difficult, it would just mean a little longer before I could purchase the machine.
What should I look for in a machine though? I don’t want to be the person who says “this one costs the most so it must be the best”!
Can you give any examples of espresso machines that you’ve found to work well and hold up over the years?

I would say increase your budget. When it comes to espresso machines and grinders you definitely get what you pay for. If you can, I would increase the budget to between $850 and $950.
